82 updates so far since this page went live earlier this year,
and things continue to stay busy. especially busy behind the scenes on
the site, where I've updated some new stuff:
Sony NEX-5 review Sony NEX-5N review North Fork of the Middle Fork American River Middle Fork American "End of the World" India - Teesta 5 If you've been following the site for some time, you'll have noticed the above image has been used before. The image is a composite of ten images of sixteen seconds, for a total exposure of a hundred and sixty minutes, thus the large star blur. Using multiple images helps keep the noise down during these long exposures. Colder air temperatures help too, this image would not have been possible in the summer. The ambient temperature was below freezing. I spent a lot of time researching different methods and programs for stacking, and ended up using Dr Browns Stack-A-Matic plug in. It's great! I like this image more than the original, it's more realistic for the colors in the sky, yet somehow attains a dreamy because more of the star circles show up. Anyways, on with the wallpapers: |
