This could be great, Korean lens manufacturer officially announced their
135mm f/2
lens that will sell for $550 at introduction and probably drop price
within a few months. This is the first new 135mm prime in nine years,
really dating Nikon's 135mm f/2 DC from 1995. As I've been manually
focusing the expensive Sony Zeiss 135mm f/1.8 for the last few months
I'll be curious to test out the Samyang with its considerably cheaper
price and longer focus throw. At that price I may be willing to take it
on the river, something I've wanted to do with the Sony Zeiss, but
avoided due to the probablity of damaging it.
